Cut Your Fabric

I used this really cute yellow and white fabric from Fat Quarter Shop. You could also use scrap fabrics or fabric from your favorite quilting store or online. Because it is 108″ I also used it for the backing.
Each finished block measures 8″x8″
- Light/White: 4 – 2.5″ squares
- Light Yellow: 1 – 4.5″ square, and 2 – 2.5″ squares
- Darker Yellow: 1 – 4.5″ square, and 2 – 2.5″ squares
Sewing Your 4 Patch Quilt Block

Step 1:
Lay out two Light/White 2.5″ squares, one light yellow 2.5″ square and one Darker yellow 2.5″ on your table or cutting mat
Sew the units into two rows and press the seam allowances away from the White fabric.
Step 2:
Join the two rows together, then press the seam allowance. I used the tweak/twirl/furl method for pressing, but feel free to press in whichever direction you prefer. Repeat to make a total of two units.
Step 3:
Lay out the two Step 2 units, the Medium/Yellow 4.5″ square, and the Dark/Yellow 4.5″ square as shown in the picture below.
Step 4:
Sew the pieces together to form two rows. Wasn’t this the easiest 4 patch quilt block? You can either
