Instructions

Make sure and cut all your fabrics for your simple beginner quilt block. If you are making a larger quilt, you will need to cut more fabrics. I love cutting out all my pieces so I can simply chain sew.
Using a 1/4″ Seam allowance, sew fabric A to Fabric B with right sides together. Press your seams toward your darker fabrics.
Sew your Fabric C to D again with right sides together using a 1/4″ seam allowance. Just like before you want to press your seams of your simple beginner quilt block towards the darker fabric.
Finally, you want to Sew your A/B combo to your C/D quilt block. As always use a 1/4″ seam allowance and press your seams.
Now is a good time to straighten up your quilt block. It should measure 10″ x 10″. Congrats you have finished your simple beginner quilt block.
