Cut Your Fabric
You want to cut your Fabric in the order that I give you. That ensures that you will have enough fabric for all of your pieces. You will also want to follow the diagrams. I’ve included more photos in the pattern PDF that you can download in the Etsy store.
From the blue fabric cut:
- 16- 3 3/8″ squares
From yellow fabric cut:
- 32-2 7/8″ squares, cutting each in half diagonals for a total of 64 squares
- 12-2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles
From Pink Fabric:
- 5-2″ x 20″ strips
From Purple fabric:
- 4- 4″ x WOF strips
- 12 2 1/2″ Squares
Assemble the Blocks

Referring to the diagram above use 4 yellow triangles and one blue fabric print to make a diamond in the Square block. Make a total of 16 square blocks
Assemble the Sasha Units

To assemble the sashing units you’re going to use the diagram above using two purple triangles and one yellow rectangle. You will repeat this process until all of your sashings are complete.
Assemble Baby Quilt Pattern With Diamonds

You will follow the picture of the quilt to assemble your baby quilt pattern with diamonds. You will want to do each row and add a pink sashing. Create all four of your rows before putting it all together.
One thing I found making this quilt is my particular fabric shifted and I needed to straighten up my pieces before attaching each row.
Attach the Border
Taking your purple fabric attach your borders making sure that you start at the top of each section. You should have four borders when you have completed this. If you have excess fabric on the back from attaching the two pieces, go ahead and trim that close to the seam.
Finishing Your Quilt

You get to decide how to finish your quilt. You can attach your batting and your backing and simply do a binding or you can do a no binding quilt. Here is a tutorial on how to do that.
Finally, you want to finish your quilt either with free motion quilting or on your long arm. I found it easier to finish on my machine as it’s a really small quilt. Congrats, you have finished your baby quilt pattern with diamonds.
